Van’s RV-6 Kitplane Construction

The RV-6 is an experimental aircraft built from a kit manufactured by Van’s Aircraft.

I built RV-6 N442E was built over a period from 3 years.  Construction time ~1300 hours.

Kit consisted of plans, instructions, custom molded parts, weldments, and stampings for the basic airframe.

Kit did not provide parts or plans for builder installed options such as engine, propeller, firewall forward, accessories, electrical, avionics, lights, interior, etc.

During this time I made several modifications to the original design.  These included changes to the form of the instrument panel, elevator trim controls, roll-bar, cowling fastener hardware methodology/
